Fabrication & Mechanical Services
Our in-house fabrication and mechanical services division allows B J Jarrad Pty Ltd to be self sufficient and provide total design and construct turnkey projects or specialist subcontract services in the following areas:
- Design, fabrication and installation of all carbon steel components and pipework.
- Design, fabrication and installation of stainless steel components and pipework.
- Fabrication, assembly and testing of pump skids, tankage and pressure vessels.
- Fabrication and installation of mechanical components.
In conjunction with specialist subcontractors, design, install and commission electrical and control systems.
Our welders are WTIA certified and all fabrication is conducted in accordance with Australian Standard 4041.

B J Jarrad Pty Ltd believes that safety is good business and that all work related injuries, accidents and property damage are preventable. Therefore, it is the company's policy to promote the highest standards in Occupational Health Safety and Welfare and to prevent loss, damage and eliminate injury.
The Company will seek to achieve this by meeting the following objectives:
- Making Occupational Health and Safety an essential and integral part of management accountability.
- Occupational Health Safety and Welfare considerations are not to be compromised by other business objectives.
- Senior Management adopting a planned approach to Occupational Health Safety and Welfare and reviewing the management system at least annually to ensure it is being efficient and effective in achieving the established goals.
- Establish performance targets, monitoring performance and striving to continually improve the Company's Occupational Health and Safety performance with the aim of eliminating work-related injury.
- Managers, Supervisors and Leading Hands will all have allocated responsibilities in the implementation of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare management system for areas over which they have control.
- Having every employee, contractor and visitor on Company property/sites accept safety as an individual responsibility and a pre-requisite in the planning of all activities.
- Using a consultative process between management, employees and contractors with the view to maintain management systems that promote continuous improvement.
- Ensuring that all work activities are carried out by competent and suitably trained persons.
- Periodically auditing our Occupational Health and Safety Management system, analyse findings and seek continual improvement.
B J Jarrad Pty Ltd aims to meet these commitments by ensuring policies, procedures and safe work systems are adopted that comply with or exceed the requirements of all Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards and other statutory provisions governing Occupational Health and Safety.

Quality Assurance
B J Jarrad Pty Ltd recognises that its customers are entitled to expect that all materials and services will conform to their specified requirements and undertakes to manage and conduct its business in a manner that will meet this expectation.
The manner in which this shall be achieved is through planning, control and verification of all aspects of the work as defined in the Integrated Business Systems Manual and as expressed in the individual Quality Management Plans, as applicable to each contract of work.
To achieve the requirements of this policy, B J Jarrad Pty Ltd has established and maintains an effective and efficient quality management system which:
- Will produce objective evidence that the customer's contract requirements are met;
- Will ensure that all subcontractors, suppliers and employees of B J Jarrad Pty Ltd whose performance may affect quality will be involved in the development of Quality Plans;
- Will ensure that all employees of B J Jarrad Pty Ltd will be required to comply with this policy and all the requirements that are derived from this policy.
- Will ensure a commitment to continuous improvement by measuring the effectiveness of its Quality Management System. This will be achieved by seeking customer feedback, monitoring outcomes and evaluation of its own performance against established corporate objectives and key performance indicators at all levels of the business.
The Quality Management System which B J Jarrad Pty Ltd uses is designed in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems. The company's Business Management System Manual and all subsequent manuals which define and describe the business processes are accessible by all employees and are distributed to all identified key personnel. These documents are readily available to all B J Jarrad Pty Ltd clients upon request.

Environmental
B J Jarrad Pty Ltd is totally committed to ensuring that its operations, activities, and work methods have minimum impact on the environment.
B J Jarrad Pty Ltd recognises that construction operations have a potential to significantly alter the environment, and accordingly B J Jarrad Pty Ltd ensures that its operations, activities and work methods are controlled to ensure a responsible and integrated approach so as to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.
Controls are implemented at all levels of the Company and this is achieved not only by ensuring compliance with Environmental Management Systems AS/NZS ISO14001:2004 but also by creating ownership of responsibility by all individuals, through training, monitoring, review and feedback, such that consideration of the Environment is included as a normal part of decision making in the workplace.
Environmental Management shall commence with a Pre-Construction Environmental Risk Assessment and consider specific aspects of individual projects where construction operations could significantly affect the environment, and also shall cover the normal operations of the Company in order to comply with principles of sustainable development.
B J Jarrad Pty Ltd is continuously working towards improving and broadening our approach to responsible Environmental Management and promotes this attitude with our suppliers and subcontractors.
B J Jarrad Pty Ltd develops, implements and maintains Management Systems in accordance with recognised international standards and in sync with the company culture. These systems enable the company to plan and control activities, implement change and meet regulatory requirements. As required we develop Plans, Policies, Procedures, Instructions and Forms.
Our approach to Environmental Management is incorporated in our Company Charter which states that we are totally committed to health, safety, and environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
