Founded in 1983 by Barry Jarrad, B J Jarrad Pty Ltd has developed a strong focus on delivering safe, high quality and environmentally sound value for money outcomes for its valued government, mining and private sector clientele.

B J Jarrad Pty Ltd owns a large fleet of specialised plant and equipment; this together with a highly skilled and dedicated workforce means B J Jarrad Pty Ltd has the ability to undertake large detailed construction projects with confidence.

History

B J Jarrad Pty Ltd was formed in 1983 after the partnership of Holder & Jarrad of 6 years ended with the retirement of Jack Holder.  One of the first major projects undertaken by B J Jarrad Pty Ltd was the plumbing and civil works at the Woodside Army Barracks, a major project for South Australia at the time.  In continuing years, SA Water outsourced their construction works with United Water becoming the manager of assets. B J Jarrad Pty Ltd were instrumental in taking up this work and evolved a Schedule of Rates contract with United Water and the company became a nominated contractor for the next 10 years in this field.
B J Jarrad Pty Ltd evolved to working on major pipeline works and infrastructure such as at the Prominent Hill Mine Site, Iron Knob to Kimba Pipeline and Streaky Bay Pipeline. B J Jarrad Pty Ltd also became the nominated contractor for Willunga Basin Water Company delivering reuse water to the Southern Vales area in South Australia.
